This week we are continuing on with our last unit of the year - exponential functions. MONDAY Learning Target: Represent exponential growth with a diagram, table, and graph. Write and recognize patterns of exponential growth Today we will finish up our activity on How Many Bunnies we have. Students will get back into their teams and complete sections A-4 through A-7. Below is the worksheet if you need to see the questions. Students should turn in their combined work for credit. WEDNESDAY Learning Target: Review Exponent Rules for Multiplication and Division Today we will do guided notes on reviewing the rules of exponents for multiplication and division. Below is the notes sheet if you missed it. THURSDAY
Learning Target: Generate, model data collected with tables, equations, and graphs. They will calculate the ratio of rebound height to drop height. Today we will move onto Lesson 2 of our unit on exponential functions by looking at the rebound. You will be working with your team to collect the rebound ratio of a ball, and then sharing your data with the rest of the class.

This week we are going to finish up our mini-unit on Polynomial Functions. Quiz on Polynomials in next Monday - May 13th!!!! MONDAY Learning Target: Write a polynomial function in factored form and use this to solve for its zeros. Today we will be taking notes on how to factor some types of Polynomial Functions to help solve (find the zeros.) See me if you missed this lesson. Below you will find a video that helps you understand how factoring relates to graphing polynomials. WEDNESDAY Learning Target: Practice Factoring Polynomials by Grouping Today we are going to practice factoring polynomials using grouping. Below you will find the worksheet. You should be able to handle problems 1-12 just like Checkpoint 1 from your notes. Try and tackle problems 13-15 as extra credit. THURSDAY
Learning Target: Review what you know about Classifying, Graphing and Factoring Polynomials Today we will be working on the study guide in preparation for our quiz on Polynomials. Below is the study guide and the answer key for the study guide. Your quiz is Monday! |
