We finally made it to the last week of school! This week we have half day finals on Thursday and Friday. Thursday is hours 1st - 3rd and Friday is hours 4th-6th. Study hard!
MONDAY - WEDNESDAY - LT: Review Quadratic functions including describing its graph, using foil and factoring, and the quadratic formula. SC: You are successful is you can: - Describe the graph from its characteristics (max/min, vertex, axis of symmetry, and x-intercepts) - Use FOIL or the BOX Method to double distribute - Use Factoring to reverse distribute a quadratic when a=1 - Use the quadratic formula to find the x-intercepts of a quadratic equation. THURSDAY - FRIDAY - Final exams for all classes.

We are officially working on reviewing for our finals. Students will get study guides for each of the 3 units that we covered this semester. Be sure to check my calendar page on Friday to get the answer key for Unit 4 and next week for Unit 5 and 6.
MONDAY - TUESDAY LT: Review Linear Systems of Equations. Solving linear systems using quick graphing, graphing, substitution, and elimination. SC: You are successful if you can: - create a quick graph using the y-intercept and slope to find 2 points - solve linear systems by finding the intersection point of 2 graphs - solve linear systems by using substitution - solve the linear system by using elimination WEDNESDAY - THURSDAY LT: Review Exponential Functions SC: You are successful if you can: - Determine if a function is growth (getting bigger) or decay (getting smaller) - Use the rules of exponents to simplify expressions - Write radicals in exponent form - Simplify radicals by dividing the exponent by the index number FRIDAY Today we will be taking a multiple choice practice final so students will get a chance to see what they still need to study. |
