Goal for this week: Start the 2nd section of Unit 2 that covers Learning targets 2 and 3. Learning Target 2: Given a scenario, complete a table of values, calculate unit rate of change, and identify the independent and dependent values Learning Target 3: Estimate and determine exact values of dependent quantities and intersection points MONDAY: Half day for Halloween. Students who have not finished their SCANTRON will have a chance to complete this TUESDAY Learning Target: Given a scenario, complete a table of values, determine the unit rate of change and the function. Graph and estimate a value from the data. Success Criteria: Complete and understand the guided practice from section 2.6 of the Carnegie Workbook. Complete all 4 problems from the worksheet with understanding. WEDNESDAY: Learning Target: Understand how to determine an expression, equation, or inequality from a scenario Success Criteria: Complete the Exit Ticket from the Notes Page which Gives a basic scenario about a number, and asks students to write the mathematical expression, equation, or inequality THURSDAY Learning Target: Given a scenario, write a mathematical expression, equation, or inequality. Success Criteria: Complete the first 20 questions on today's worksheet that asks students to write the equations or inequality (and graph for compound inequalities) from a scenario. FRIDAY Learning Target: Given a situation, write your own equation or inequality. Success Criteria: Complete the Math Lib Partner Assignment that asks students to write a mathematical equation or inequality (with graphing for compound inequalities) from a situation. I will post the notes and worksheets on my calendar page for each day - be sure to check there if you missed a day.
